RE: 20.7 MPG on my Dodge dually

Am I missing the specs on all these MPG posts ? ... are these 2 or 4wd trucks?
Mine is 4x4. Has always done better with a load on it for some reason.

RE: It's offical, Spring is here in Anchorage!

Went Trout fishing on Willow creek this last weekend. Didn't catch a thing, but being out of Anchorage was priceless.
Del_B... Alaska awaits for you. Yes. The geese are here. The sun is out. The trees will be full in less than 2 weeks. Summer is upon us. Finally!
I for one won't be Home for a single weekend from now until late October.
Bout dang time! Winter is rough to wait out up here!

RE: 20.7 MPG on my Dodge dually

This last weekend. Did some testing on my 05 Dually with the 5.9. Results....
Camper on and loaded.
Tow/Haul mode engaged on the automatic.
17800 miles on OD. Not even broke in yet. Far from it.
55 MPH. = 20.6. 18.5 uphill.
60 MPH. = 16.5. 14.6 uphill
65 MPH. = 12.5. No diff.
Tow/Hual off.
55 MPH. = 14.5. Uphill 13.2
60 MPH. = 13.5.
65 MPH. = 12.5
For what it's worth.

Yep, just measured this AM, 20" west Anc. I live in a little bowl over here and ...LOL, I'm not going anywhere today. I'll be spending my Fishing Time cleaning house today.
What will be intresting around town is if it in fact does hit 50 tomorrow as forcasted.

NOT!!!!! Sheeesh It was 55 yesterday, in the 50's all week, today 14" of #$@#& snow so far at my house in a single day. I had to leave my rig at work. Way to top heavy.
My fault! I put the camper on last weekend and de-winterized. I'll have a picture tomorrow. I'll have plenty of time since i'm NOT GOING FISHING!

Moved from Lower 48 to Alaska....
Warmth. 85 during the day. 72 at night. Not here.
Thunderstorms - Lightening. Hard to see with 20 hours of daylight. Rare in town.
Fresh Fruits and vegetables.
Sound of crickets.
Sound of frogs.
Lighting Bugs.
Pro Sports Football and Baseball games.
Major Concert shows.
The list could go forever.
But I love it up here :)

RE: New to RVing

B.Wagner, Welcome to RV'ing, Welcome to the site, Welcome to Alaska, well, almost :)
Whatever you do, take your time and Enjoy it! Stay the posted speeds and stay attentive on your way up. Lots of wildlife to veiw. Stop at Muncho Lake, beautiful place. Make sure you have an extra fuel can. The trip form WhiteHorse to Tok is a long one. About 400 mile, no nothing between them.
